这次在香港湾仔婴儿用品展会做翻译，真的是相当惊喜的一次体验！本次翻译主要是和宋雪翻译工作室合作的香港展会项目。

展会主要是韩国的公司展览婴幼儿用品，世界上很多质量上乘的婴儿家居用品都生产于韩国，我这次是在A 公司做翻译，A是韩国最出名的婴儿爬行垫生产商，很多韩国的妈妈提到爬行垫，第一个想到的就是A。
A展位一共有四个人，包括了一位朝鲜族的中国姐姐，一位韩国哥哥和一位和我一同当翻译女生。两位A公司的主管对待客户非常专业，一看就是很有工作经验的。
在展会第二天的时候，朝鲜族的主管跟我和另一位翻译说要积极主动一点，于是我看到另一位翻译女生在那天上午变得非常积极主动。我才意识到原来她第一天只是在熟悉产品，产品熟悉了之后翻译水平、跟客户的交谈等等都非常专业，我是第一次跟其她翻译合作，没想到就遇到了这么优秀的人。我那时觉得被她的积极给鼓励了，于是也变得非常有工作热情，来向我咨询产品的外国人明显立刻多了很多。就在那两天，我们收到了非常多客户的联系方式和订单，第一次觉得原来做翻译是这么有成就感的事。
这几天的翻译接待了数不清的国外顾客，包括来自土耳其、加拿大、印度尼西亚、新加波、美国和俄罗斯等等的人，面对世界各地的面孔、口音、交谈风格和文化，眼界也开阔了不少。

这次的翻译经验让我进步了很多，希望下次还有这样的机会和宋雪翻译工作室合作。

Review of the Hong Kong Toy Exhibition

1. Prepare well before working at the scene

After contacting with my client, I understood all the jargons, and imagined the difficulties I would encounter in the next few days. Besides I found out the route that was available for me to arrive to Wan Chai on time. The personal image was also significant, so I made sure that I was in a well suit. In general a satisfied preparation could boost my confidence in this challenging job.

 

2. Positive service attitude

A short term exhibition requires a highly enthusiasm in working. Initially the punctuality shown my optimistic attitude to this job, revealing my determine to accomplish the task and attaining the trust from my employer. Secondly when I took a positive attitude towards work, and kept a warm smile on my face, the charm would attract more potential clients on the exhibition. This is of necessity for a professional interpreter.

 

3. Efficient communication and instant feedback

Although I was an interpreter in English, I confronted with more languages that I could imagine before. In this fair, there were more Korean and Japanese costumers, who didn’t have the capability in speaking both English and Chinese, or even didn’t hire a following interpreter with them. At first, I tried to use simple English words to express my ideas, but they still could not understand what I meant. Then I tried to use my body languages to tell them, which began to work. What’s more, I kept smile to the Korean and Japanese customers and gave an instant feedback for my boss, sparing my efforts to achieve an efficient communication between language gap. It was an excellent experience for my career, inspiring me to solve the emergence in a limited period, and maintained a rational mind simultaneously.

2019.1.7-10 于香港湾仔会展中心婴儿用品展担任了4天中英粤翻译 获益良多 感受如下：
1. 韩国老板人非常好，而且从小在非洲长大所以英语超级棒！跟着他做事感觉很踏实，很有干劲儿！因为老板的英语差不多是native speaker的水平，对我的英语也有一定的帮助，还教了我几个不怎么常用但是很有意思的单词，非常感谢老板！
2. 微笑吸引顾客，专业和真诚留住顾客。
3. 一起工作的小伙子非常认真和专业，在这4天里深深被他的专业精神和对客人的真诚打动。和这样的人一起共事真的很有幸！
希望下次还能有如此的机会，在翻译工作中不仅能帮助企业和客户的沟通，还能提升自己沟通的能力，也特别感谢雪姐给我这样的机会～

今晚的年会交传遇到临时安排的发言人，现场收音效果不佳等意外状况，翻译的准确率有待提高。谢谢现场对接人以及宋老师理解，整场年会的气氛都非常活跃。相比之下同传老师更辛苦，现场没有办法配备能隔音的同传箱，主要的翻译听众集中在杂音较多的地方，无形中增大了同传工作难度，两位同传老师都辛苦了。宋老师这段时间忙着对接项目也很辛苦，谢谢宋老师的理解
